Essentia

Essentia is a 2D game where the player takes on the role of a perfumer who runs their own shop and must serve visitors by creating perfumes based on their orders and preferences. The game is set in the city of Grasse, France. The player used to work at a large perfume company but decided to open their own shop and now has to build their business from scratch.

France has long been the center of perfume making and remains so to this day. The city of Grasse is the world’s capital of the perfume industry. The industry’s growth happened in the first half of the 20th century.
